Very nice place for brunch! Busy place so expect flaws and errors in service and orders. Food is great, waiters/waitress service was on point, well trained crew I have to say. I was so sleepy when I went in I didn't feel like talking to no one but a cool waiter name Nathan paced it down a little bit for me when he saw the train wreck. I see people mentioned that the place was dirty, well it's a busy place and there's always people waiting that means all the tables are occupied and I can understand that it's impossible to do a deep clean while trying to slide the next customer in. Other than that the experience was great but what's more better was the food. This is my 3rd visit and now I'm here writing a review. I'd go back again for breakfast/brunch.

P.S. love the decorations, place looks lively!

I typically have decent service here, but today was pretty bad. It's a Monday morning, the restaurant isn't even half full. My husband and I both walk in, the hostess is busy gossiping with another staff member and doesn't even greet us when she turns around. I tell her table for two, she grabs two menus and walks us to our table. We sit down and an unhappy waitress walks over to us and asks for our drink orders. My husband orders a coffee and a water and I order a water. She comes back with only one water and one coffee. A few minutes later, she returns with the other water and asks if we're ready to order. This entire time she is just NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. She just wants to do the basics of her job and go back to the hostess to lean against the hostess stand and gossip. We get our food and  during our dining experience, she does not refill our drinks NOT EVEN ONCE, she does not ask us how our food is, and she just drops off the check and leaves. Like "pay up, I've done the bare minimum of my job without talking, now you do yours." So we paid and tipped her 18% and still no absolute thank you and when we left, our waitress and two other staff members stood around the hostess stand still gossiping and didn't even say bye or thank you for our visit.

About our food, I ordered the Cowpoke - one pancake, one egg, and 2 sausage or bacon. My sausage patties were rock solid, not hot, and definitely not fresh. My lemon blueberry pancake was surprisingly tasted powdery... I've had this pancake several times before and it's always been delicious, but this time, not so much. Not sure what went wrong. My husband's chicken fried steak was good, but all breading.

With all of that said, this is the very last time we'll be visiting.

Alright, this is an updated/new review.

Almost two years later, I now realize I had the correct pancake in the past it just did not have the correct syrup. The syrup that goes with the Banana Nut Pancake, should be a peanut butter syrup and it wasn't. So now to fast forward, I ordered the Pioneer w/ the same pancakes and once again, it did not have the peanut butter syrup as it should have. Let me explain how good the peanut butter syrup is, it is DANG good and brings out the banana in the pancakes. So not getting what I ordered, dramatically changed the taste of my food. It was so good, I chose to mention it several times in this review.

Yes, people, that kind of good!

The bacon, to me, was a bit underdone as I am a fan of very crisp bacon.
No big deal. The sausage, I really like the mild taste of it, but I wish it stood out a bit more.

When I last visited as a dine-in patron, there was someone thoroughly going through her to-go order. I mean, she was taking everything out and opening every container. I have a feeling they screwed up several of her orders in the past. Now that I know they don't correctly put the to-go orders together, I will be that patron as well. I will check EVERYTHING, including the syrup. HA!

We waited about 35 mins on a Saturday morning around 10:00.  To us this is a good sign of good food!
The chicken fried steak was crispy, tender, good taste and good size. The potatoes were ok but tasted like they were out of a freezer bag.  The lemon blueberry pancake was fantastic with warm blueberry syrup. It had fresh blueberries inside. The fruit was a good variety and nice size portion.  I like how they have all condiments available at the table. We will return to try something else.

Great location, great food, friendly service, easy to read menus. One of the best Bedford Breakfast places by far.
The breakfast skillets area heart water to start the day. The atmosphere is Texas "chic", with lots of fun signs on the wall.
